Madeline Kenney finds vibrant melodies in the infectious, pop-infused "Cut Me Off"
Taking a plunge into the deep end, Madeline Kenney is returning from her debut album by venturing into new territory on first single, "Cut Me Off".
Following on from her 2017 debut album Night Night at the First Landing, Madeline Kenney is taking a bold step into a new world of vibrant melodies as she wastes no time in turning over new material.
"Cut Me Off" is the first offering from her forthcoming sophomore album Perfect Shapes, which was collaboratively created with the help of Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner.
Swirling through infectious guitar riffs and silky harmonies, "Cut Me Off" is an exciting glimpse of where Kenney's new direction is headed.
Gracefully delivered, the fun melody empowers Kenney's vocal delivery, and even leaves room for an ethereal verse that shimmers like an untouched lake under the sun.
The fun video showcases Kenney spicing up a mundane working office by dancing on tables, perfectly fitting for her new venture.
