Lyttet debut ethereal new track "Saint Etienne" [Premiere]
With their debut EP Initium::Finis set for release at the end of the month, Lyttet premiere a startling beautiful new track on Best Fit.
Hauntingly melodic, "Saint Etienne" ripples into existance with an ethereal calm. Distinctive vocals echo with a sweet yet vacant melody, seeping through your system and chilling you to the bone. Dark drones slowly surge the track onwards as steadfast rhythms provide a tether amidst the celestial sea of reverb.
"Saint Etienne is probably the heaviest track off our upcoming EP," Claire Nicole said of the record. "It was the first track we wrote together as well. Peadar had named the instrumental track 'Saint Etienne', which is a small city in France where he had spent a year. It immediately conjured up a sense of living somewhat reclusively, in a foreign place in a small space and just kind of feeling the pulse of the city from within the confines of your bedroom. It's a kind of blend of comfort and alienation."
Lyttet release Initium::Finis digitally on 30 April (limited edition 12" heavyweight vinyl available now).
