Listen: Luke Sital-Singh – Bottled Up Tight [Best Fit Premiere]
London’s Luke Sital-Singh is getting ready to launch the follow up to his beguiling debut EP, Fail For You. The new record entitled Old Flint is out on 15 April via Raygun Records and we we’re thrilled to premiere its lead track, the slow-burning folk pop behemoth that is ‘Bottled Up Tight’.
Tumbling guitar notes find their perfect partner in Luke’s effortlessly composed vocal delivery, though each are forced to give ground to rumbling tom-toms and pounding piano chords as ‘Bottled Up Tight’ builds toward a fiery, atmospheric climax. Carefully plucked acoustics and honeyed verses will always remain Luke’s most potent weapons but the rough thrusts of distorted guitar that cut through the spectacularly expansive melody point to darker emotions brewing under the New Malden man’s optimistic veneer. We simply can’t wait to hear more of the exciting new routes this boundless talent has explored on Old Flint.
