We’ve not heard a peep from Stockholm’s Erik Hassle in quite some time. We’d heard rumours of his return but nothing could quite prepare us for “Talk About It.”
We’ll get this off our chests first – it is incredible.
As we’ve come to expect from the Swedish pop protégé it’s soulful, raw and timeless in it’s simplicity but my god it’s more addictive than anything that has come before it. A big bold chorus hook is key: It sweeps Hassle’s smooth, elegant vocals into an epic cluster of sweeping synths, crashing cymbals and tight snare drum beats before releasing them back into more downbeat, minimal territory. If you’re after a little slice of electro pop perfection then this, right here, is about as good as you’re going to get.
