Undoubtedly one of the world’s most promising up-and-coming producers, Cyril Hahn, has unveiled a darker second half to his debut cut ‘Perfect Form’.
The Vancouver-based, Swiss born artist is stepping away from his inspired reworkings to conjure up an immaculate double-sided single, due for release via PMR in early October.
It may have taken him all too long to appear with work of his own, but it’s proving worth the wait. All the deep house bass and beats from the aforementioned remixes are there, but this slow-burning release shows-off a more subtle side; without indulging in obvious dance-floor drops and big choruses, he is still able to build the track to an uplifting finale, with the help of a typically sensual vocal sample and intuitive guitar punctuation.
A ‘Raw Cut’ it may be, but this latest piece once again asserts Hahn as a noteworthy name on the ever expanding accessible-house circuit.
