Numbers are one of the UK’s most consistently entertaining labels. They’ve only been releasing records for a couple of years, but their already enviable catalogue is testament to the Glasgow collective’s penchant for inventive, forward-thinking fun.
London duo Kodiak are responsible for the the label’s next single – and what a single it is. ‘Spreo Superbus’ is a big-room combination of vocal hooks, skittish percussion, and deranged, full-throttle motorbike noises. It’s gloriously danceable, and yet the constant pitch shifts lend it an oddly unsettling undertone. The release also includes remixes from Actress and Girl Unit , which you can hear on the Numbers site.
