Jorja Smith has unveiled "Teenage Fantasy", a glorious old school pop cut full of vibrant beats, golden vocals, and glimpses of yesteryear.
The Drake and Kali Uchis collaborator debuted her latest cut on BBC Radio 1 last night - it's the follow up to March's ace "Beautiful Little Fools".
"Teenage Fantasy" deploys faded keys, vintage vinyl crackles, and hummed samples - recorded when Smith was just 16 (during a babysitting gig no less) - it all combines for a fabulous next step for the UK R&Ber. Smith adds gravity with musings on youth and love and youthful love. This track is big in every sense of the word.
Smith plays a sold-out show at London's Brixton Electric on 20 July.
