Jords teams up with Masego and Kadiata on slick new track “Enemies”
Croydon artist Jords collaborates with polymath Masego and Pimlico producer and artist Kadiata on the post-lockdown positivity anthem “Enemies”.
“Enemies” is a celebration of the next chapter, with Jords drawing a line in the sand of life fully locked down. The new track is an instant classic, with the South London artist getting Masego and Kadiata on board to celebrate and personify long-awaited reunions.
In the spirit of “no bad energy”, the track drops old grudges, forgives and forgets any bad blood and raises a glass to moving on. It focuses on the important things: family, friends and self-worth. It's the idealist notion and the bigger person we all need to draw inspiration from at times.
Through chapters of lavish transatlantic bars, the track dips into genres and influences - past hand claps and two-step, it changes things up with sprinkles of luxe lounge piano, reminiscent of Masego's sultry solo output. As Jords validates, “I really want people to travel through time with my music.”
