And now for something completely different…
Jensen Sportag are from Nashville, but they sound like they are from Sweden via a porn set in late ’70s Detroit. Their recent Pure Wet EP was all boudoir beats and beautiful, hilariously funky bass lines. A semi-ironic delight from start to finish.
‘The Wet Mix’ is a 14-minute recasting of that EP. It draws out many of the most ear-catching motifs from Pure Wet and moulds them together, assembling them under a pane of reverb-frosted glass. Rather like a too-short DJ set in the world’s most laid-back club.
‘The Wet Mix’ is available for free download here. You can buy Pure Wet here.
