Isaac Gracie announces new EP and shares lead track “The Death Of You & I”
The wandering troubadour returns with “The Death Of You & I", part spaghetti western part George of the Jungle.
Somewhere in the middle of Walt Disney’s 1955 live action film Davy Crockett: King Of The Wild Frontier, Crockett and compadre Russell decide to join a group of embattled Texans at The Alamo. Paradoxically, the latest sweet nothings from melancholic poet Isaac Gracie brings to mind the legendary pair’s epic journey through the arid landscape of Central and Southern Texas where they encounter Native American tribes, bison stampedes and several lovely Southern belles.

“The Death of You & I” seems like more of a soundtrack than an actual song. There are louds and quiets, rising tensions, sweeping crescendos, all topped off with a story about love and hurt. It is a masterful return to form from the hotly tipped songwriter and a direction one hopes he will continue to explore.
Isaac Gracie’s new EP The Death of You & I is out 29 September. Find out more about the limited edition 10” vinyl here.
