
Nashville garage punks Faux Ferocious debut "Solvency"
Concocted in the depths of the Deep South, "Solvency" is a brain liquifying affair from Faux Ferocious.
Opening a track with a solid minute of melodious dirge is a brave move, but one that is gloriously beneficial in this particular case. Nashville-based post-punk garage quartet Faux Ferocious may as well have mastered the technique, as new release ‘Solvency’ simply drips with suspense.

The drone-like cloudy opening clears into sun-soaked glistening guitars paired with a tumbling drumbeat. The vocals are simple, yet give the track a subtle, somewhat militarised edge. There’s clear elements of both post-punk and Krautrock in the song with heady riffs and energetic psychedelia coalescing over a gloomy soundscape.
