Fall in love to the dreamy, lo-fi soundscapes of Dwen's haunted folktale “Tr Pp N”

Creating mystical R&B beats with eerie electronic melodies out of their East London studio, Dwen's “Tr Pp N” is an off-kilter jam infused with sensuality.

The track opens with a rumbling bassline before Jadu Heart's lovelorn backing vocals glide over the enticingly smooth and effortlessly delivered production, transporting the listener to a warped dimension of romantic catharsis.

Wrapped in mystery and intrigue, Dwen derived their band name from the term “douen”- a mythological entity from Trinidad and Tobago folklore believed to be the lost souls of children not yet baptised or christened.

The enigmatic Dwen have paired this haunted tale of loss and heartache with their own expression of emotional articulation, explaining that the track explores “the conflict and ambivalence of some relationships, half ironically, but with an appreciation for what these songs mean and the universal feeling they convey, however contrived they seem on the surface.”

Dappled electronics float over a marbled veneer of lush pop goodness, the ethereal beauty lingering long after the track finishes.
