Darla Jade’s Scandipop-influenced tale of vulnerability is the answer to your “Problems”
Staffordshire's Darla Jade is continuing to make her mark with the raw and expansive new single “Problems”.
Deftly blending twanging guitars and breezy synths, Darla Jade’s enchanting vocal immediately draws into her emotional journey. “Problems” balances sombre songwriting with a forward-looking strain of electro-production, to position Darla as having a maturity beyond her years. Understated yet refined, the single captures themes of heartbreak with a palpable sense of vulnerability.
With a string of releases to date – co-writing tracks with Leftwing : Kody and Gorgon City amongst others - it’s clear that Darla Jade has a versatile charm for penning idyllic, cool-pop anthems that you can either dance or cry to.
“Problems is a track that is a really personal one for me and I think this is why it was a quick one to write,” explains Darla. “I'm so excited to share this one as it's certainly a side I've not shown of me yet.”
"Simon Pereria & I wrote it in October time in 2020 and we just wrote the whole thing on a splice loop. I then pulled in Rhys Fletcher to do the production, as I just really love everything he produces! I'm so excited to share this one as it's certainly a side I've not shown of me yet."
