Cocoa Futures deliver distorted pop-prowess in new track “The Blue”
Cocoa Futures have come through strong and slick with their upbeat, funkadelic pop sound. Their newest offering “The Blue” is a judder of a journey through their infectious art-pop sound.
Created with a looping ice cream van siren, “The Blue” blends the charisma of youthful happiness with a bouncing beat that will have you tapping away in seconds.
Driven by a fuzzy bassline, the track fluctuates between an upbeat, joyful pop tune and a darker, more ominous insight into the lives of those struggling to find a balance between happy and sad.
Cocoa Futures are certainly proving their worth by integrating infectious dance electronica and the weird and wonderful sound of their distorted melody.
Blue EP is released on 2 December via Lost In The Manor Records. "The Blue" is available to buy from 16 September, with a single launch at Ryan's Bar, Stoke Newington, London.
