The Line of Best Fit
Children Of Pop, the work of a band driven in the main by an unknown male, have unveiled “Taking Over”, the first release from the Houston act to emerge this year.
Full of washed-out dubby textures and lo-fi bedroom noise, “Taking Over” sounds much like the work of the (still elusive) Jai Paul, though lilting with stronger sedation. It’s oddly disturbing and alluring at once.
The band declares: “It is chill; boring. Enjoy”, but we’re curious as to how such boredom spins such creativity.
