Venture into Birdcage’s fuzz-fuelled sound with “You, My Heavy Star”
Picture a quaint south Wales town just over the Severn Bridge. Now picture four lads from that town using their impeccable influences from shoegaze, alt-rock, metal, and pop to create pedal perfection fuelled by fuzz.
If you’re picturing an infectious yet graciously noisy band then you’ve got it about right.
Birdcage’s new track “You, My Heavy Star” is glazed with memorable melodies and succulent sounds, voiced by one of two frontmen/brothers, Liam McConnachie.
The track swerves swiftly through delicate guitar playing and is overlaid with a frenzy of fuzz that will have your head bopping instantly. Its killer chorus, too, can’t go amiss as vocals warp wonderfully to submerge in the band's signature scuzz.
Birdcage’s progression since their first EP has undoubtedly added a glimmer to their fuzzy sound. Stream “You, My Heavy Star” and find their upcoming live dates below.
