Channelling the spirit of Vangelis and Tomorrow’s World comes the Avey Tare-esque soothing rainbow swirl of ‘Blanket’, a new offering from Bachelorette, aka New Zealander Annabel Alpers.
Describing her sound as “psychedelic computer pop” or “space folk”, Alpers’ vocal is tinged with androgyny and the promise of a silver-suited future amongst the cloud people. Her self-titled third long-player is out on 16 May and she’s over on our shores for a sole London show at CAMP Basement on 6 June.
