We loved Acid Glasses‘ last track so much that we (accidentally) posted it twice.
‘Jpeg Hoarder’ (a counterpart in name alone to Everything Everything’s ‘Photoshop Handsome’) is the second track from the Tennessee bedroom oddball’s forthcoming double a-side single – and it’s just as beautifully peculiar as its predecessor.
There is a definite Beck feel here; a sort of skewed country rhythm overlaid with breathy percussion and little spurts of Van Dyke Parks-esque harmony. It swings between being delicate and ridiculous, and it’s really a lot of fun.
‘My Pale Garden’/‘Jpeg Hoarder’ is out on Stroll On 10 October.
