The Line Of Best Fit Podcast [December 2010]

(News)

The countless end-of-year lists have started flooding in which nowadays is as much a sign of it being December as the Coca-Cola Santa Claus advert adorning our television screens. Yes, in the immortal words of Noddy Holder “it’s Chriiiiiiistmaaaas” and by (Jesus) Christ we’re going out with a bang.

We’ve lovingly compiled a bumper podcast featuring 26 of the finest songs 2010 has produced – from Beach House to Zola Jesus, we’ve crammed in the cream of the crop and then some. And, as if that’s not enough, we also take a brief look at the year ahead by previewing three bands that The Line Of Best Fit have nominated for the much renowned BBC Sound Of 2011 list.

It’s also (sadly) presenter Jen Long’s final show as she flees the podcast to start work at BBC Radio 1 as the new host of the Introducing show (Wales edition). We wish her all the very best of luck in what will surely be a hugely successful career in radio.

Now, on with the show…. Merry Christmas!
