Wovoka Gentle share invigorating pop anthem "They Mostly Come at Night Mostly"
With delicate folk influences and rousing pop sensibilities Wovoka Gentle make their mark with new single "They Mostly Come At Night Mostly".
The first single from the London-based three piece since the release of their Red EP last year, which followed EPs Yellow and Blue, "Night..." is refreshing, thoughtful, and different. The new single transports you through the world of Wovoka Gentle which is explored across the track's almost five-minute length, from the '80s-inspired synths, to the harmonious breakdown and experimental electronic outro.
The band explain of those synths sounds that "we've experimented with modular and polyphonic synths more in this track than we have before. A lot of the vocals were recorded in a church in North London, which felt right with the structure of the choruses - we wanted to create a kind of psychedelic hymn."
"A psychedelic hymn" is a pretty fitting description, but the experimentation we hear on the new single isn't something new for the band, who describe themsevles as "an evolving project that demonstrates the importance of risk, experimentation and growth, challenging boundaries, and opening up questions."
The band are touring the UK in the coming months taking with them their impressive mixed media show, which is not to be missed.
