Preston dream pop outfit White Flowers get spacey on “Glimmer”
Latest signees to up and coming DIY label Bingo Records, White Flowers are making sparkly new wave with a melancholic flourish.
White Flowers careen into the spotlight with arguably one of this year's strongest debuts. Otherworldly soundscapes, intelligent textures and piercing vocals make “Glimmer” and the band themselves very hard to ignore.
First release “Glimmer” comes ahead of a three track EP release out later this year digitally and on cassette. If that wasn’t enough the duo today shared a self-made video centred around their work space in Preston.
In their own words: “We’re very conscious of getting the sound and atmosphere right, quite often sampling and layering sounds until they suddenly become exciting for whatever reason. We tend to just go off what feels right and let things evolve on their own.”
