Watch: Young Fathers – “Get Up”
Edinburgh’s Young Fathers have definitely done good on their new video for “Get Up”.
The trio continue to impress and intrigue with their innovative experimental blend of hip-hop, electronica and alternative indie pop. Latest single “Get Up” is a catchy ensemble of gritty rhythm, melodic vocals and confidentially delivered rap.
As Young Fathers always do best, this track merges a variety of styles and ideas into one overwhelmingly noticeable piece. The song genuinely has something new to offer at every listen; it is a real demonstration of successful cohesion, formed through a single unified vision, amongst a chaos of sound.
With an eerie, dark and somewhat ominous accompanying video, the group have reflected their raw passion and, undoubtedly, original artistic interests. Their debut album Dead is set for imminent release on 4 February.
