Watch: Young Buffalo - "Sykia" [Premiere]
Having first caught our eye back in 2011 with their bittersweet cover version of Broken Social Scene’s emo drenched “Anthems For a 17 Year Old Girl”, Mississippi based group Young Buffalo have certainly taken their time over their debut album which finally sees the light of day this year.
The first song to be revealed from the LP, which was produced by Dave Shiffman (previous credits include Haim and Weezer), is the sprightly “Sykia” - the video of which premieres below.
Young Buffalo make the treck to the UK next month for two London dates. They’ll appear at Birthdays on August 11 and at White Heat the following evening (August 12).
