Watch: The Familiar - "World Ends" [Premiere]
Ruth Mirsky and Mads Martinsen, together forming electro duo The Familiar, are sharing their new video for "World Ends".
The two have never worked in the same room together, and share ideas via the magic of technology. They describe themselves as "a conjuring of strangers - polar opposites who find inspiration in the uncanny darkness of winters with no sun, the unyielding lightness of summers with no night, and a city that never sleeps."
The clip was directed by Åsmund Hasli. It's shot in beautifully crisp monochrome, and sees their razor-sharp pop escapade given a dark makeover. Despite being called "World Ends", is decidedly unapocalyptic - it's actually quite warm: "You will never find a lonely street/it's just footsteps and feelings."
