St. Vincent appeared on the Conan O’Brien show this past weekend. She kicked things off by playing a few bars Elvis Costello‘s ‘Radio Radio’ before paying homage to his 1977 SNL performance by stopping the band, announcing “I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen, there is no reason to play that song” and launching into Strange Mercy highlight ‘Cheerleader.’
