Cherry Ghost vocalist Simon Aldred is stepping out on his own for the first time under the Out Cold alias with debut LP Invasion Of Love set for release via Heavenly Records next month.
Inspired by his experiences in coming out, Aldred has crafted an album full of hopefulness and love, opening doors to emotions that were once kept firmly closed, spinning his poignant lyrics around disco keyboard riffs and sparkling guitar tones.
‘Sorrow’ is the second single off Invasion Of Love, a pining 80s influenced slice of melodrama packed with rippling programmed beats and pirouetting analog synths. We’re streaming the track’s quirky visuals below, in which a rather unappealing bog monster searches for comfort and companionship in an otherwise wholly alien environment.
Invasion Of Love is out on 9 September via Heavenly Records with the Sorrow 12″ EP following a week later.
