Watch: MisterWives - "Reflections" [Premiere]
Following the release of their debut EP Reflections in January, Bronx based band MisterWives return with a video for its ridiculously catchy title track.
A fun video for a stupidly fun song, the footage follows vocalist Mandy Lee, drummer Etienne Bowler, bassist Will Hehir, guitarist Marc Campbell, keys man Jesse Blum and saxophonist Mike Murphy running all around NYC to the song’s bouncing rhythms, euphoric jangly guitars and big pop hooks. And those hooks, they really are amongst the most infectious we’ve heard in a long time. They’ve got that perfect bittersweet balance going on; Lee’s saccharine voice is cut with a perfectly crisp, alternative edge courtesy of snapping percussion and dreamy, understated synths.
