Watch: Lykke Li, Kate Nash, The Hives appear in Pussy Riot video
A whole host of famous names and musicians have appeared in Peaches’ new pro-Pussy Riot video. Among those involved are The Knife, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn And John, Nick Zinner, The Hives, Miike Snow, Kate Nash, and Le Tigre’s JD Samson.
Pussy Riot are currently standing trial in Russia after staging an anti-Putin protest at a Moscow church. The case has seen much outrage in the punk community around the world, with the Mayor of Reykjavik even getting behind the cause at a Gay Rights rally last weekend.
Meanwhile, Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna spoke about the case to Pitchfork recently:
“It would be really cool if this reinvigorated feminists all over the world, taking on the appearance of Pussy Riot locally and making change around that.”
