Watch: Grimes perform 'Genesis' on Jools Holland
It’s a weird but wonderful thought thinking that many people stumbled in last night, a tad inebriated post-all the football, turned on the TV and came across this – the ever-bizarre but forever-brilliant Grimes on Jools Holland. It’s often said that the programme is good for introducing new acts to the kind of music fan that has only just got round to buying Adele – 21 and I’m sure as hell certain that whatever their reaction was last night to the Canadian singer, who sported a strange eye painted upon her forehead, that they stuck around to give her a listen nonetheless.
Grimes performed her lead track, ‘Genesis’, while elsewhere in the show saw a jam-packed cluster including Jack White, Alabama Shakes, and Norah Jones perform.
