They say that all things go round in cycles, or some other cliche to that effect. Well, last September Girls’ brilliant second album, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, came out just in the nick of time to provide me with a tonic while getting over a break-up.
Now, full circle, I find myself in the same situation – just now my play count of that album has reached too high to really have the same effect anymore. So good thing this has dropped right in front of us this morning, eh?
Girls performed on U.S. TV last night with Conan O’Brien, playing one of the standout cuts from their 2011 release, ‘Love Like A River’.
Have a bit of a watch above.
