When Topman CTRL asked Gallic troubadours Francois & The Atlas Mountains to take part in a “field recording”-esque session among the Scottish Highlands, I don’t think anyone imagined them to take things quite so literally. But the resulting clip offers an enthralling masterclass in some innovatively organic instrumentation, with nothing seemingly off-limits to drum or have a bash at – albeit tree trunks or your bandmate’s own acoustic guitar.
Watch the French group’s rendition of the suitably-named ‘Way To The Forest’ above.
