Watch: Francis Lung – Age Limits

Former WU LYF bassist and current Los Porcos man Francis Lung has revealed the video for the brilliantly reworked version of ‘Age Limits’, in which he has worked alongside Go Tell Fire To The Mountain collaborator Dave Jay.

Although a more primitive version of this track has been doing the rounds online already, the new version of ‘Age Limits’ is really something to stop you in your tracks.

Gorgeously subdued and near-bleak in an ‘Exit Music (For a Film)’ fashion; the track’s opening sections develop with the introduction of bright, melodic guitars and backbone percussion. But it isn’t until about half way through ‘Age Limits’ that Francis Lung really pushes the boundaries and exercises the dynamics of this great track, as his hushed vocals are replaced with a gritty bark and fully flowing instrumentation. It’s perfectly distanced from his other projects, past and present, and a fine introduction to Francis Lung’s solo efforts.
