FKA Twigs’ fantastically minimalist new track, ’Water Me’ is an out-of-body experience waiting to happen.
Produced by the much-admired Arca, whose spindly percussion and marshy electronic blips orbit around FKA Twigs’ solemn drib-drabbing vocal tones, immersed in echo and reverb, ‘Water Me’ is her first drop since adding the FKA – formerly known as – to her alias. Enchanting, controlled and even a little dangerous; we’re in love.
The Gloucestershire raised Londoner releases EP2 on 10 September via Young Turks. Watch ‘Water Me’s simple yet effective accompanying visuals below.
