Father John Misty played his track ‘Only Son of the Ladiesman’ last night on Letterman, a song taken from his Sub Pop debut.
Albeit technically his debut, of course J.Tillman is well known to everyone ’round these parts from his involvement in Fleet Foxes, a band whose name momentarily seems to be forgotten by the show’s host.
It’s a pretty stellar performance, with a particular highlight being Tillman’s rather camp, wonderfully kitsche hand-on-hip posturings and theatrical gestures. Oh and the music too, of course.
Fear Fun is out now on Bella Union.
