Watch: Django Django – Love's Dart (Topman Ctrl Field Recording)
Each and every one of us has at one point probably thought “Wouldn’t it be great to have a band play an intimate show in my house?” You know, just between the TV and the sofa or something and paying them with some cheap Polish beer from the corner shop. It would be great because you could just rock up out of bed, enjoy some live music with the curfew being whenever you just so happen to pass out.
Sadly, it always dawns on us sooner or later that neighbours never seem to share this same view. So what’s the next best thing to this? How about an acoustic set in the middle of the woods? That deals with the sound issue for sure, but it would definitely take a major Google Maps job to direct any of your friends to enjoy it with you.
Django Django are the latest band to take part in Topman Ctrl‘s Field Recordings series of sessions, donning their raincoats and giving a blissful rendition of their track ‘Love’s Dart’. Luckily the showers abstained, otherwise the resulting clip might have been a whole lot different.
