Watch: Burning Peacocks - "Games"
Paris-based two piece Burning Peacocks have unveiled the video for "Games", the lead cut from their forthcoming self-titled EP on Night Beach Records.
The two-piece, sonically reminscent of We Were Evergreen, are Alma Jodorowsky and David Baudart. Jodorowsky is also a model for Chanel and Lancome and an actress who starred in Blue Is The Warmest Colour. She is also the granddaughter of cinematic auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky. Baudart's background is slightly less glamourous, but still impressive - he cut his teeth working as a sound engineer in studios across Paris.
"Games" is a gorgeous dream-folk gambit from Burning Peacocks. The lyrics are sodden with stomach-knotting emotion, and the absurdly brilliant accompanying visuals only serve to heighten that. Narrative-driven videos are increasingly scarce nowadays, and the chilling tale that unfolds in "Games" makes it stand out even further. It's a challenging, complex short film on love, obsession, psychopathic urges and youth.
