Watch: Battlekat – Mother Nature (Live at Roskilde Festival 2011)
The formerly-mysterious Battlekat, now all full-throttle and confident swagger, have been making virtual waves ever since their initial emergence under the ambiguous name ‘Just A Number 05272011′.
The Scandinavian group, fronted by the sexy and alluring Matilde Katinka Böcher and known for their avant-garde and brooding electro-pop, sent Pitchfork and the blogosphere into a detective’s frenzy, each site trying to uncover something new about the reclusive act. They also even recently received the remix treatment courtesy of Bristol producer Hyetal.
Now renamed and ready for the world, Battlekat have just released their first single and announced a host of debut shows. Check out this video of the Danish electronic outfit performing track ‘Mother Nature’ at only their second live show, shot at the Roskilde Festival in Copenhagen early this month. You can listen to and download an mp3 of the live track below.
The band are set to play our very own TLOBF Stage at Cardiff’s annual Swn festival in October, more details found here.
Check back at 11am tomorrow morning for exclusive news regarding another forthcoming Battlekat UK show.
