Amason first floated into view last year with the breezy lullaby “Went To War” and subsequent self-titled EP. Last month they released a new song, “Ålen”, the video of which premieres at Best Fit today.
Made up of Gustav Ejstes (Dungen), Amanda Hollingby Matsson (Idiot Wind), Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Nisse Törnqvist and Petter Winnberg (Little Majorette), Amason are signed with Stockholm based label / collective INGRID which was founded by Lykke Li, Miike Snow, and Peter Bjorn and John.
Certainly not lacking in pedigree then, Amason excel at creating beautifully honest music: a ‘super group’ perhaps, but the sum of their parts never overshadows the actual music they create. Watch the video for ”Ålen” below.
