Watch: Adna – “Night” [Premiere]
We’ve been spoiled of late with the current onslaught of emotionally weighted female Scandinavian singer-songwriters. Notably, the minimalist beauty of Sweden’s Alice Boman and the fragile laments of Norway’s Farao. Completing this triad then, is Gothenburg’s Adna who released her debut LP Night just this week.
Made up of nine emotion laden tracks, Night sees the young Swede (who now resides in Berlin) showcase a deft lightness of touch to her music. For such a young artist – both in terms of age and experience – the results are astonishingly coherent and accomplished.
