Scottish singer-producer A-L-X is sharing the chic clip for new single "Tried Love".
A sulty, soulful electro-pop cut with grooving guitars and gorgeous harmonies, it sees A-L-X at his most appealing - those seeking tender emotion, something to move to, musical brilliance or anything else will find something to love here. Comparisons with Frank Ocean have been made in the past, but on this cut, the sexy funk&B of Justin Timberlake is more apt. Shot in stark black and white, the video condenses the sound into its purest emotional form - it's basic, but intimate intensity is unparalleled.
"Tried Love" is taken from upcoming EP Timebomb, due out in April.
