Vimes follow Belfast’s Yes Cadets and Josef Salvat in making a pin sharp pop track available via German label Humming Records.
The Cologne duo will release ‘Celestial’, a sprightly electronic number adorned with a chunky pogoing bassline and shunted beats, on 30 September. There’s more than a whiff of Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor wafting around Azhar Syed’s wispy coo, although the sleek and poppy production owes plenty to friend and fellow Colognian, Roosevelt.
