Watch Venice Trip explore London in their new video for "Said Too Much"
2015 has seen psychedelic-infused bands taking a step backwards, leaving room for newcomers Venice Trip to fill the gaps with their sultry, blues-infused sound to create a whirlwind of psychedelic goodness in the current decreasing appreciation for the genre.
"Said Too Much" showcases Venice Trip's ability to embed psychedelic sounds with a persistent, progressive structure, allowing the visuals to sweep from ambient, static shots to more hallucinogenic, mirrored visuals, enhancing the '60s-psych sound of the track.
The vocals of frontman Andres sneak through ambient, soft tones to emphatic, belting sounds that blend with the beautiful locations across London.
The numerous performance shots across London highlight the group's persistency to endure and excite the seemingly low-key status of the genre, pulling the audience into their psychedelic trip while the track shifts through numerous musical dynamics.
"Said Too Much" is like a rollercoaster, peaking through the admirable collaboration of instruments and structure, allowing the band's psychedelic sound to blossom through their ambient, outdoors video - not to mention their ability to emphasise their psych-sound with the trippy visuals towards the end of the track.
The collective goodness that Venice Trip have showcased is worth getting excited about.
