Unsigned upstarts TOUCH drop "Touched (Pressed Against Skin)" ahead live UK debut at Old Blue Last
Ahead of their debut UK show tomorrow night at London’s Old Blue Last, the unsigned post-chillwave upstarts in TOUCH are sharing their latest “Touched (Pressed Into Skin)”.
While previous releases “Total Commitment” and “Another Step” impressed us initially with a sound that seamlessly blended Neon Indian and yacht rock, “Pressed Into Skin” evokes the endless summer that Alan Palomo and Ernest Greene imagined years ago.
Synthetic flutes and bargain bin funk guitars are kept from floating dreamily off into the ether by the walking bass synth; the vocals bounce along the song’s edges, pushing the boundaries of the melody with such charm that it becomes impossible to avoid reveling in the tics and imperfections.
