Listen: Tyrannosaurus Dead - "Post Holiday Dead Song"
Brighton fuzzed-out five piece announce their track, “Post Holiday Dead Song”, as part of a split single with Joanna Gruesome (released via Odd Box Records on 21 July).
“Post Holiday Dead Song” is a follow-up to last year’s Pure//Apart EP, which established the band as purveyors of quality scuzzy DIY indie rock. Now the quintet return with something that positively bounces out of the blocks at the start; Eleanor Rudge and Billy Lowe conjuring up some heartwarming vocal harmonies over fuzzy white noise.
As the track continues, it gets more thickly textured and increasingly urgent. What’s more, the Odd Box Records have managed to persuade the mighty force that is Joanna Gruesome to provide the flip side.
