Listen: Turtle – Who Knows

‘Who Knows’ is an ambient electro track produced and written by Glasgow’s new man on the block Jon Cooper, also known as Turtle.

The mellow, organ-like intro that lasts for a good minute and thirty seconds is effective in setting both the depth and mood of the track. As the track reaches the chorus, not only does the synth take minds to a wintery, clear night sky; the layered vocals Jon Cooper has put together are so ghostly and soulful that you can’t help but be hypnotised too. The clean cut piano sound on the chorus adds a splash of extra splendour to the track, and cranks up the emotive impact.

Entwined with compelling, soft vocals, and enchanting synths, ‘Who Knows’ is both beautiful and haunting. Incredibly strong stuff.

Turtle’s debut EP is due for release on October 21st.
