TS Graye projects her fully-fledged sound on intimate track "Take Notes"
17-year-old TS Graye holds an overwhelmingly mature talent towards singing and songwriting. New track "Take Notes" projects that further, and proves there's nothing to obstruct her path.
Having arrived with her breakthrough track "MY2" last month, TS Graye is defying her age and projecting a fully-fledged sound.
Her full-bodied pop sound is continued on second track "Take Notes", which gives the Bristolian a platform to embrace her soulful vocal range.
Produced by Louis Mattrs, the soft beat on "Take Notes" is just a hum compared to TS Graye's substantial voice, which defies all preconceptions towards her age.
Infectious and ballad-y at the same time, TS Graye utilises her influences of Jorja Smith, Alicia Keys, Banks, and more to infiltrate her track with magnificent vocals.
Speaking about her second track, TS Graye explains, ""Take Notes" is about realising that you've fallen in love with with someone unexpectedly. At first, I was soul-searching, trying to understand why I was feeling some kind of way about a friend. As soon as I clocked that I was in love, I saw that the game had changed forever and had to lay down the law, hence spelling out the rules and asking him to take notes."
At just 17, it's hard to imagine how a young West country girl can hold such maturity and fantastic vocal tones, but we're certainly here to watch her grow.
