Trunky Juno announces debut EP Too Many Teeth with new drop “I’m Just As Scared As You Are”
Steeped in bedroom-pop charm enters Trunky Juno’s “I’m Just As Scared As You Are”, announcing his debut EP Too Many Teeth: an effervescent mix of lo-fi sounds, fizzing guitars and distorted synths.
Nostalgia resurfaces on Trunky Juno's new cut “I’m Just As Scared As You Are”, echoing the nods to Weezer and Wayne’s World from his earlier release, “So Cool”. He playfully fuses his colourful vocal range with clever lyrics, providing us with another earworm to get us through the lockdown blues.
Swelling production, hazy sounds and lighthearted, woozy vocals pierce through the verses before this bedroom-pop bop reaches its peak in the highly-charged chorus.
"'I'm Just As Scared As You Are' was the first Trunky song I wrote and it seems such a long time ago now,” he says. “It was a bit of a touchstone, and I really felt like I’d figured out what kind of music it was I was trying to write. I really like all the individual parts in this track, every instrument kind of does its own thing in a way that fits together like the most intense jigsaw puzzle you’ve ever been involved in."
Trunky Juno · I'm Just As Scared As You AreWith his unmistakably dreamy vibe, his new track provides all the right ingredients to guide the direction of his future sound. Its slacker-pop feel is just a taste of what awaits on Trunky Juno’s debut extended play Too Many Teeth
