Tony Njoku encourages self-belief on the uplifting and otherworldly "Justine"
British/Nigerian artist Tony Njoku is back with his warm and woozy EP title-track "Justine".
"Justine" is the opening track and title-track of Njoku's new EP which also lands today.
Njoku's latest outing is built around a woozy, gamelike electronic melody, and sees the artist utilise his angelic falsetto vocals again to navigate the uplifting instrumentation.
"Justine" is a track that encourages belief in oneself, and opens with powerful lyrics, "Justine you were never wrong / Looking more alive than you’ve ever done / Trust me you were meant for this / Focus on the prize, not the enemies."
The glitchy percussion emphasises the woozy nature of Njoku's EP title-track, while the electronic elements soar with ease through the warping landscapes.
Njoku says of his new single, "This is a track about trusting your instincts. Having faith in yourself, and about taking action on that self belief. To me it’s an uplifting song. Overcoming adversity and all that wonderful motivational stuff. It’s important to share that sort of energy, we all want to be inspired."
