This Is Head glide through the wilderness with new track "Natten" [Premiere]
Following the delectable spirit of "People" and “Timmerdalen”, This Is Head are premiering a new track from their forthcoming self-titled album.
"For us, this record is a document of an intense week of abundant creativity mixed with writer's block," This Is Head say of their forthcoming release. "A week of tired ears on stubborn heads and ultimately the crystallisation of our ideas. That’s how it was for us. For those of you listening, perhaps it will be something else."
Beginning with the same sweltering ambiance that echoes through the album's previously unveiled tracks, "Natten" soars and builds to something entirely more magnetising. Tribal percussion and gliding refrains fade into clear-cut vocals and driving riffs, glimmering drones paving way for potent rhythms and dynamic vocals.
This Is Head have forsaken all sense of time and place to create a world of their own, locked in a small wooden house, lost on a small island. Drawing the listener further into this world, guiding them along sultry melodies and hazy vocals, the group have forged something vivid and liberating. Ever thought about leaving it all behind to explore somewhere estranged? This is the soundtrack you've been waiting for.
This Is Head release their self-titled third album via Adrian Recordings this autumn.
