Double Denim's The Yum Dee Days share melodic rock tune "Everyone's Your Friend"
Brooklyn twosome The Yum Dee Days have revealed a new single "Everyone's Your Friend".
Produced by Nicolas Vernhes (The War On Drugs, Deerhunter), the track is set to be released by Double Denim.
The pair, mononymous individuals Jay and Jim, formed in 2013 and playing the house party circuit before ramping up to bigger and brighter things. Jay, a published poet by 18, who retired at 21, wrote the band's first tracks while living out of a car; multi-instrumentalist Jim has a wealth of experience performing with Eleanor Friedberger and Hot Chip.
With that in mind, their song "Everyone's Your Friend" arrives with high expectations - and it doesn't disappoint. Distorted bass tones and spaced-out drums converge, gradually sliding into focus, creating a gorgeously sleek rock-pop track that oozes melody and sincerity.
